            <title>Training Period 5 of Season II Recap ||14.08.09
</title>
            <description>Training Period 5 (August 17 – September 13) - will be released on Monday, August 17th. &lt;br /&gt;
New in the period: &lt;br /&gt;
In Training Plans: &lt;br /&gt;
- Period five is the first period of the pre-competition phase of the year. More attention is placed on ski specific activities in intensity and distance training. We will shift back to max strength half way through this period after six weeks of power velocity training. &lt;br /&gt;

            <title>Training Period 4 of Season II Recap | 08.07.09</title>

                <![CDATA[Training Period 4 (June 22 – July 19) - will be released on Monday, July 13th. <br />
New in the period: <br />
In Training Plans: <br />
- Distance and intensity in period 4 remain similar to period 3, but strength training will be taking a substantial shift to power-velocity training. The goal is to develop fast and explosive movement to make the resistance strength gains in period 2 and 3 functional for athletics. <br />

            <title>Training Period 3 of Season II Recap | 20.06.09</title>

                <![CDATA[Training Period 3 (June 22 – July 19) - will be released on Monday, June 22nd.<br />
New in the period:<br />
In Training Plans:<br />
- Period 3 marks the start of maximal strength phase. The goal here is to increase resistive load. There will be a decrease in the number of exercises to primarily focus on the muscle and movements of the sport.<br />

Central Cross Country Ski Association utilizes the Dartfish Video Analysis System to evaluate different aspects of cross country ski technique. CXC’s Elite and Junior Teams both make use of this motion analysis software to give visual feedback and pinpoint the areas that require improvement.]]>

            <description>Matt Liebsch, the winner of the 2009 American Birkebeiner, 2009 US National Championships Bronze medalist, and World Cup Competitor will share with you his ideas and thoughts on training for skiers of all ability levels: novice, intermediate and advanced. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
CXC Academy is also pleased to announce partnership with Vision Quest Coaching and its owner Robbie Ventura. Robbie will introduce two bike workouts a week to our training plans to supplement or substitute some of the cross country specific training workouts.</description>
